So many writers and authors, and other people in general, whine about compare and despair. They look at someone on social media, or other authors, or people in their field, and whine about how they’ve done so much more than them.
Why do you do that? Why do you whine and despair instead of looking at it in a positive manner?
Instead of despairing, why aren’t you comparing for the better? Why aren’t you being inspired by what others are doing?
Why aren’t you asking yourself, “is what they’ve done something that would be good for me to do?”
Why aren’t you asking yourself, “is that something that I could do for my business/website?”
Why aren’t you asking yourself, “if it’s not appropriate for my business, what about as a hobby?”
Why aren’t you asking yourself, “is it time to update my bio/website/social content and who can I use to inspire me?”
Why aren’t you asking yourself, “ooh, someone’s done a course. Is that something I could do or be interested in?”
Instead of stagnating, as many of us do at certain times until the ideas flow again, or we’re inspired by something new, make it a mission to look at other authors, creators, writers, social media sites, etc., to find people who are doing things you aren’t. Find them to be inspired, to see new things, to gain new ideas, new thoughts, new ways of doing things.
Push yourself to do more for yourself instead of whining about what everyone else is doing that you’re not. Because it could just be the fact you’re lazy and don’t want to do anything.
Change how you do things and compare and be inspired instead.
