Today is the 18th of September, 2023.
Jason Sudeikis turns 48.
He’s also nominated for best male lead actor in a comedy, and writing in a comedy series, and Ted Lasso overall achieved 21 nominations at the 2023 Emmy Awards after receiving 20 for both previous years. The Emmys were supposed to be held today, on his birthday, but due to the strikes going on, they’ve been moved. What a sucky birthday!
One year ago tomorrow I released my novel, Anything for You. Not only was it inspired by him and his personal life, but by his character of Oscar from Colossal.
I sent this present to him in February of this year, and blogged about it then. You can see it at this link. The address was supplied by his publicist. I sent it to her office, she said she’d pass it on and let me know when it arrived. I emailed her twice after and received no reply. The tracking number did say it was delivered, I’m just not sure if it was actually delivered to her in her office, and then delivered to him.
Either way, it’s one year on from the release of Anything for You, my fifth stand-alone novel, and the eleventh in general even though I technically have twelve adult novels as one is an omnibus of four novellas, so I thought I’d wish him a happy birthday and happy a non-Emmys day and a “I’m keeping my fingers crossed that you’re going to win” when they do go ahead.
Happy Birthday, and happy future Emmys day, Daniel Jason Sudeikis.
