Followers, following, being followed, it’s all a part of being involved in Social Media.
However, the old adage of follow and you will get followers is no longer true.
When I first joined in 2009, I’d heard “experts” talk about starting a blog and following people to get followers. That no longer happens.
You can follow 100 people and only get say, 10 people to follow you. Some may just leave replies but not actually follow you and I don’t know why. Why is it so hard to follow someone who follows you?
And then there’s the followers who expect you to help them with games or want you to follow certain pages but do nothing in return.
Yes, I have asked my FB followers to like my book and community pages but only a few have done it. And yet so many of them want me to help them with games, but they don’t reciprocate.
So maybe it’s time to do some bargaining.
You want me to help you, then you like all of my pages.
How’s that!
You scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours!
You don’t get unless you give!
